The Necessity of In-Person Inspection
Purchasing a motor vehicle is a major decision, and an in-person inspection is a critical part of the process. Photographs and online descriptions can provide a good overview, but they cannot replace seeing the car with your own eyes. You need to sit in the driver's seat, check the sightlines, feel the materials, and evaluate the interior space. More importantly, you need to test drive the vehicle. A test drive allows you to assess the acceleration, braking, handling, and overall comfort of the car on the road. Because these physical evaluations are so important, we require buyers to visit the dealership. We arrange the appointment so the car is ready for you, but you must be the one to inspect it and decide if it meets your standards.
Dealership Paperwork and Compliance
The process of buying a car involves significant documentation. You must sign purchase agreements, odometer disclosure statements, and various state-mandated forms. If you are financing the vehicle, the lender requires strict identity verification and original signatures on the loan contracts. Furthermore, the dealership must verify your driver's license and proof of insurance before allowing you to drive the vehicle off the lot. These legal and financial compliance steps are entirely managed by the dealership's finance and insurance department. The most secure and efficient place to complete this paperwork is inside the dealership. Keyosk does not handle any of this documentation, which is another reason why home delivery is not part of our service model. You must complete the transaction on-site.
Taking Physical Delivery
When the paperwork is signed and the transaction is complete, the final step is taking physical delivery of the vehicle. This happens at the dealership. A salesperson will typically hand you the keys, provide a final walk-around of the vehicle, and help you set up specific features like Bluetooth pairing or navigation settings. You will then drive the vehicle off the lot yourself. We focus all of our efforts on getting you to this point by securing the vehicle's availability and booking your appointment. We do not operate a fleet of transport trucks, nor do we employ drivers to move vehicles between locations. The logistics of moving the car from the dealership to your home are entirely your responsibility once the purchase is finalized.
