Do I still go to the dealership?

Yes, you will go directly to the dealership for your appointment. We schedule a time for you to meet with a salesperson at a local franchise dealership. You test drive the vehicle, finalize your paperwork, and complete your purchase in person. You will interact directly with the dealership staff throughout the visit.

Why dealership visits remain necessary

When using Keyosk, you always complete your transaction directly at a franchise dealership. Automotive transactions involve physical vehicles and state-mandated paperwork. You must inspect the physical car and sign legally binding documents in the presence of authorized personnel. A dealership visit provides the structured environment required for these steps.

During your visit, you have the opportunity to see the vehicle up close. Photos online provide a general idea of a car's condition, but viewing it in person allows you to check the paint, interior condition, and cargo space. You sit in the driver's seat, adjust the mirrors, and determine if the layout suits your preferences.

The test drive is a critical component of any vehicle purchase. You take the car on local roads to evaluate its acceleration, braking, and overall handling. This hands-on experience confirms whether the vehicle meets your expectations before you make any financial commitments.

Paperwork and finalization

Once you decide to move forward, you complete all necessary paperwork with the dealership's finance department. They provide the final contract, title application, and registration documents. You review these documents in their office and provide physical signatures where required by law.

State regulations often dictate how and where vehicle transactions occur. By completing the process at the dealership, you comply with standard procedures for titling and registration. The dealership handles the submission of these forms to the relevant state agencies, making sure the transfer of ownership is documented correctly.

You also submit any required payments directly to the dealership. Whether you bring a cashier's check, use financing arranged through the dealer, or provide a down payment via credit card, all financial transactions occur securely at the dealership. Keyosk never collects money for your vehicle purchase.

Taking possession of your vehicle

After the paperwork is signed and payment is processed, you take possession of your new vehicle at the dealership lot. The dealership staff will provide you with the keys, temporary registration tags, and any owner manuals included with the car. You drive the vehicle home yourself.

There is no option for vehicle delivery. You must arrange transportation to the dealership for your appointment. If you are trading in a vehicle, you will drive your trade-in to the dealership and drive your new purchase home.

This in-person completion process eliminates confusion about the vehicle's condition upon delivery and allows you to ask the salesperson any final questions about the vehicle's features or operation.
