Interacting with the dealership salesperson
Your primary point of contact at the physical location is a salesperson employed by the franchise dealership. They are trained professionals who understand the specific vehicles on their lot. They possess the keys to the vehicle and will facilitate your physical inspection.
The salesperson is responsible for accompanying you on the test drive. They can explain the mechanical features, safety systems, and technology packages equipped on the vehicle. Their role is to provide you with the information you need to evaluate the physical car.
Keyosk does not send representatives to the dealership with you. The personnel you interact with wear the dealership's uniform and operate according to the dealership's internal policies and procedures.
Working with dealership management
During your visit, you may also interact with a sales manager. Managers oversee the showroom floor and approve final transaction details. If there are questions regarding a trade-in appraisal, a manager is typically the person who evaluates your old vehicle.
The sales manager works closely with the salesperson to prepare your file for the finance department. They verify that all necessary identification and insurance documents have been collected before transferring your paperwork to the next stage.
Management is responsible for the overall operation of the dealership. They dictate the flow of customers and manage the schedule, which impacts how quickly you move through the process.
The finance and insurance manager
The final person you will work with is the finance and insurance manager, often referred to as the F&I manager. This individual handles the legal and financial execution of the purchase. You will sit in their office to review and sign the final contracts.
The F&I manager explains the terms of the sale, prints the state-required titling documents, and collects your signature. They are strictly employed by the dealership and are responsible for ensuring the transaction complies with state laws.
They will also present options for extended service contracts, gap coverage, or tire and wheel protection. You will interact with them to finalize your payment method and officially take ownership of the vehicle.
